The on-time figure
Every courier says it is reliable. The only version of that claim worth anything is a number you can hold us to, published on a schedule we do not control after the fact.

A parcel is on time if it was delivered on or before the date the board quoted when it was booked. There is no rounding, no exclusion for weather, and no "excluding events outside our control".

Volumes, the late parcels, and what we changed afterwards.

23,118 parcels, 22,285 of them delivered on the day the board said. The 833 that were late break down as 402 behind the Bog Walk road closure in May, 297 on the western run in the week both tail-lift vans were in for service, and 134 that were our own dispatch errors.
On time means delivered on or before the date quoted at booking. A parcel we could not deliver because nobody was at the address counts as on time only if we attempted it on the quoted day.

21,470 parcels and a worse quarter than we want: 1,052 late. Two thirds of them were in February, when the eastern van was off the road for eleven days after a collision and Portland was covered by a hired truck that did not know the run.
We have kept a spare van on the yard since March so that one vehicle cannot do that again.

Our busiest quarter of the year and our worst figure: 26,904 parcels, 1,561 late. December volume was 41% above November and we under-hired. Christmas week alone accounts for 900 of the late parcels.
The lesson we took was to stop accepting new account customers in the first week of December, which we did for 2026.

20,332 parcels, 651 late, and the best quarter we have recorded. A quiet hurricane season and no road closures on the highway for eleven weeks.

From 3 November the southern run adds Tuesday, so Saint Elizabeth becomes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Same band, same rates. The board will change the morning it starts, not before.

When the gorge closes, Saint Catherine north of Bog Walk moves to the highway van through Old Harbour and adds half a day. When Junction Road closes, Saint Mary is covered from the north coast van and arrives in the afternoon instead of the morning.
In both cases we send a message to every sender with a parcel on that van before the van leaves the depot, not when it fails to arrive. The quoted date changes on the message, and that new date is what the quarterly on-time figure is measured against.
Notice
The second tail-lift van went into service in July. Pallets can now travel on the highway run and the north coast run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Everywhere else a pallet is broken down at the depot and delivered as large parcels, at the large-parcel rate per piece, which is usually cheaper anyway.
