What we carry
Six classes, by weight and longest side
A class is decided at the counter with a scale and a tape, in front of you. If a parcel is on the line between two classes we charge the lower one — the scale is ours, not yours.
Document envelope
0.5 kg · 30 mm thick · Any size up to A4
Up to 0.5 kg, nothing thicker than 30 mm. Contracts, cheques, titles, passports.
Usually: Contracts, cheques, titles, certificates
Small parcel
2 kg · 40 cm longest side · Shoebox and under
Up to 2 kg and 40 cm on the longest side. A phone, a part, a box of samples.
Usually: Parts, phones, samples, medication
Medium parcel
10 kg · 60 cm longest side · Carton, hand-carried
Up to 10 kg and 60 cm on the longest side. The everyday shop order.
Usually: Shop orders, pharmacy transfers, tools
Large parcel
25 kg · 120 cm longest side · One-person lift
Up to 25 kg and 120 cm on the longest side. One person can still lift it.
Usually: Appliances, printers, shop fittings
Barrel or drum
60 kg · standard barrel or drum · Two-person lift
Up to 60 kg, the standard shipping barrel or a steel drum.
Usually: Barrels from the wharf, drums, bulk goods
Pallet
400 kg · 1.6 m tall, wrapped · Tail lift both ends
Up to 400 kg, shrink-wrapped, tail-lift both ends.
Usually: Stock deliveries, wholesale, equipment

Getting it to us
Three ways in, all at the same price
Collection is never charged for at any band. It is the same van whether you bring the parcel to the gate or we come for it.

Call before your parish cut-off and a van comes. No collection charge.

Same driver, same time, every weekday. For twenty parcels a month and up.

Packing
What survives the road, and what does not
The highway is fine. What breaks parcels is the last two miles: a marl road, a cattle grid, four hours in a van in August. Pack for that and nothing else matters.
- A box with 50 mm of packing on every side, not a bag with paper in it.
- Tape across every seam. We re-tape anything that arrives open and write it on the waybill.
- Liquids double-bagged, upright, with the lid taped. A leak in a van costs everybody else's parcel too.
- Screens and glass boxed edge-on with a corner block. Flat-packed glass does not travel.
- The delivery address and a working phone number on the outside as well as the waybill.
What will you not carry?
Cash, firearms and ammunition, live animals, ganja and anything else illegal, unpackaged glass, medical samples, and perishables that need more than four hours. If a parcel is sealed and you will not tell us what is in it, we will not move it.
