What we do when a road closes

Bog Walk gorge, Junction Road, the Rio Grande bridge: the re-route and who we call.

When the gorge closes, Saint Catherine north of Bog Walk moves to the highway van through Old Harbour and adds half a day. When Junction Road closes, Saint Mary is covered from the north coast van and arrives in the afternoon instead of the morning.

In both cases we send a message to every sender with a parcel on that van before the van leaves the depot, not when it fails to arrive. The quoted date changes on the message, and that new date is what the quarterly on-time figure is measured against.
